from ABB SSAC.
ABB SSAC 10 Year Warranty
ABB SSAC warrants its standard
catalog products against defects in material or workmanship for a period
of ten years from the date of shipment as indicated by the date stamped
on the product (or product label) or by the invoice date when stamping
is impractical. The liability of ABB SSAC under this warranty is limited,
at ABB SSAC's option, to replacement, repair or credit at the purchase
price, for any devices which are returned by the customer during the
warranty period. In order to permit ABB SSAC to properly administer
this warranty, the customer shall (a) notify ABB SSAC promptly in writing
of any claims and receive return authorization by ABB SSAC; (b) provide
ABB SSAC with the opportunity to inspect and test the product claimed
to be defective. Such inspection may be on customer's premises or ABB
SSAC may request return of such product at customer's expense. Adjustment
is contingent upon ABB SSAC's examination of product disclosing that
apparent defects have not been caused by misuse, abuse, improper installation
or application, repair, alteration, accident or negligence in use, storage,
transportation or handling; and that the original identification markings
have not been removed, defaced or altered. This warranty constitutes
ABB SSAC's sole liability hereunder and is in lieu of any other warranty
expressed, implied or statutory.
How to File a Warranty Claim
Return Authorization
Before you return a product you must
have a Return Material Authorization
(RM) number.
You must call for an RM number.

was Purchased Directly from SSAC
For warranty returns, the
original direct purchaser should contact ABB SSAC Customer Service by
calling 800-377-SSAC (7722) between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM eastern standard
time (USA). ABB SSAC may elect to inspect the product on the customer's
premises, or issue an RM number so that the product
may be returned to the factory for testing. RM numbers
will only be issued to ABB direct customers.
The following information is required to obtain a RM
number:
Company name and address and contact person.
SSAC part
number, date code, quantity and description of the problem.
All product warranty returns, repairs, replacements
or credits are handled between ABB and the direct purchaser ( i.e..
having an ABB Account.). Attach a brief written description of the problem
to the product or packing list along with the RM number that was issued.

Product was Purchased from a Distributor.
OR
Product was Installed In a Piece of OEM Equipment.
If you did not purchase the
product directly from ABB, then return the product to the distributor
or the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that the ABB product is a
component in. The Distributor or OEM will return the product for testing.
If there is a defect in material or workmanship, ABB will repair, replace,
or issue credit to the Distributor or OEM. The Distributor or OEM is responsible
for replacing or issuing credit to you according to their individual returns
policy or warranty policy.
Response Time
Returned products are typically tested within 2 to 3
weeks of receipt.
Resolution
If there is a defect in material or workmanship, the product will be
(at ABB's discretion) repaired, re-tested and returned; replaced; or
a credit may be issued. Repaired or replaced products will be returned
at no charge, freight prepaid by ABB.
Credit will not be issued or a replacement product provided if the
failure is not caused by a defect in material or workmanship. Totally
solid state and encapsulated products cannot be repaired. Unrepairable
products will be scrapped.
