Programmer/Software Developer
The company is in need of an experienced Programmer/Software Developer to join our team. The qualified applicant will be a motivated self starter that can work with minimal supervision and pays close attention to detail.
Required Skills:
3+ years programming experience required (Java preferred)
Desired Skills:
- Strong SQL experience
- Web application design experience
- Experience with ERP (enterprise resource planning) system
- Experience with source code control systems (specifically Subversion)
- Provide support and troubleshooting for Global Shop Solutions ERP
- Develop user processes and procedures for ERP system
- Conduct training for ERP system as needed
- Participate in the development of applications, standard reports, and data requests in order to improve efficiency and visibility of company operations
- Perform SQL database queries, updates, and maintenance
- Designing, developing, modifying, evaluating, and documenting programs for internal function areas including accounting, sales, manufacturing, and engineering
- Research, implement, test, and utilize ERP features and functionality
- Support and backup IT Systems Coordinator
Technical Support Technician
Are you technically inclined? Are you able to visualize and troubleshoot problems over the phone? SymCom is growing and is looking for individuals familiar with the workings of electrical systems, power distribution systems, motors, pumps, etc. If you have background knowledge and/or 3 years or more experience in an electrical or mechanical field, and enjoy helping customers solve their technical problems, please contact us. Applicants, we also require a working knowledge of Windows based programs; excellent communications skills and ability to write technical documents. Wages depend on experience, and preference given to qualified technicians fluent in Spanish.
